Welcome to my first blog post!
Get ready to Watch Me Grow over the next seven months!
My goal is to get into shape, and put on some muscle! You can literally Watch Me Grow on my youtube channel: WatchMeGrow09. Throughout the next seven months, from January to July 2009, I'll be working hard to get some muscle while keeping you up to date on my routines, diets, and physical activity.
I will literally be posting weekly with EVERYTHING that I have done over the past week that pertains to my workout program. I will be posting my workout routine for each day, my food intake, and any activity that I do. This includes any time I may miss a workout, perhaps have a piece of chocolate cake that I shouldn't, or spend too long watching TV. I want to inform you on everything to show how real my results are and to make it easy for others to copy.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
AGE: 16
HEIGHT: 5ft 6 in
WEIGHT: 128 lbs
I am currently a sophomore in high school. Yes, you read it right, a sophomore in high school. I'm sixteen years old. I know that I may seem like an ammature and that I don't really know what I'm doing, but before you do let me tell you something. I may only be sixteen, but I am dedicated to improving my life, and creating a routine that can be followed by others. My father is a certified personal trainer, and he does weightlifting everyday, and works with people on a daily basis. I also have school to balance and after school activities that keep me busy all week. That is exactly why my plan is so realistic. It's made for a busy schedule. I don't have all day to choose when and where I'm going to work out, so this is perfect for those of you who work or may even be my age looking to get in shape. So please, don't give up on me. Wait until you've seen some results to decide whether I'm really that unexperienced.
I've attempted to do some weight lifting before, beginning in maybe seventh grade with a routine that my father created for me. I was very inconsistent and maybe followed it for a month and then stop and went back and forth for weeks or even days. I finally decided that now was the time to really get started, now being in High School.
A LITTLE ABOUT MY PLAN:
Everything I do is done from my own home. I will solely be using free weights, an exercsie ball, exercise bands, a treadmill, and an excersise bike. I will not always eat at home, but I will still inform you of everything I eat. I plan to workout everyday, splitting a workout routine created by my father in half. I will try to fit in cardio every other day or so, or possibly even in the morning depending on how things work out. However, cardio is not my primary goal. My real goal is to gain muscle.
Another thing I want to let you all know is that I won't necesarily be following a definitive plan. I may change some things up, or experiment with different things based on my free time or how things become easier. Especially at the beginning, I will be adjusting things to see how they fit better into my schedule.
